The recently created phrase of "the Legendary flight" refers to the three Legendary birds of Kanto and their mastery of the skies. A couple of games have used this phrase, one of which is Pokémon Go and becomes the focus of this post. Uniquely, and most importantly, their present appearance is in conjunction with a "gargantuan phenomenon" originally from the Galar region that may present its own difficulties. So it is that now the three birds are present in the game with instances that can access the phenomenon of Dynamax.
Over the past two weeks - and this week as its third week - the three birds in their expected order made their debuts in Power Spots starting on Monday in a massal manner (to be explained eventually) and are (were) available throughout the week for teams of up to four Trainers to battle. As with all Dynamax Pokémon up to this point in Pokémon Go, only the Pokémon caught from the encounter at the end of the battle can access the Dynamax forms and be themselves used in Max Battles.
With these debuts, they are effectively the first Legendary Pokémon in the game that are capable of Dynamax, which makes them somewhat lucrative. Then, there's the possibility of them being Shiny when captured, albeit a small one. They do, however, cost 800 Max Particles to take part in, the same as for battles involving Gigantamax forms, so one needs to save up that much in order to be able to battle - although something instituted in the weekends before their debuts can help with this, to be explained separately.
Even with that, one also still needs to have the proper Pokémon to battle these Legendary birds turned gargantuan. Being that one battle is limited to just four Trainers, this fact of preparation is more markedly so... unless the participants opt to use something that helps them further in this regard when they can't further themselves. Still, some Trainers may just scrape through some battles if they are accompanied by other, stronger ones, so at least a few may just be able to catch one of them with some help.
Regarding the phrase as mentioned above, there is a sense of majesty to be considered, and the three Legendary birds of Kanto have quite a bit of that. The majesty of having them in Pokémon Go with a "gargantuan" form could be considered rather different if not difficult to achieve, but it's still a majesty nonetheless if it can be achieved. For Pokémon species that have been around a long time, the sense of majesty is a respectable one, and it evidently can be manifested in certain ways, as with Pokémon Go above.
