Next on the Pokémon Go content filling agenda is an action that is commonly performed by many Trainers to enhance their gameplay experience. That action would be buying and exchanging PokéCoins and items in the shops associated with the game. The practices related to this action have certainly changed over time, and while some things seem to be obvious, other things may not be as such. Therefore, this post serves to reconcile those things and present some current best practices for the action.
It would appear that the best way to obtain the items and coins would still be through the in-game shop, but this is not always the case. The reason is that there may still be additional charges to be paid for the transactions that involve real money, especially through certain payment methods. Even so, some of those payment methods may also offer certain deals, and thus it may be necessitated to use them with the in-game shop to take advantage of those deals. Of course, if only coins are of concern, then the transactions with them in the in-game shop are fair game by any means.
The implementation of the Pokémon Go Web Store becomes another way to obtain the coins and items, and it's perhaps the best way at present. Different payment methods obviously apply here and so do the deals they offer, if any, but at least one gets what one pays for when paying with real money. For some of the same items (mostly event tickets) offered through the in-game shop, the Web Store sometimes puts them in a bundle with certain other items that may or may not be useful, so it's wise to evaluate these before buying the item of concern through the in-game shop. The coins are also augmented on the Web Store, the daily bundles can also be seen there, and it's accessible nearly anywhere - all of these being pluses.
Considering the above, it seems that a current best practice is to buy coins (and possibly daily bundles) through the Web Store, which can then be used in the in-game shop as one sees fit, since the usual coin expenditures are still only present in the latter. Other bundles on the Web Store may not be attractive enough to be spent on, but at least what is attractive is finding the best deal possible for things like event tickets - even if it means accepting or forgoing the Web Store bundle - and applying that for purchase by whichever means apply. There may be just as many considerations as there are ways to pay and the deals for them.
So, Trainers filling their item bag with items and putting more PokéCoins in their stash is a regular activity, but what might be irregular about it is how they might choose to do so, whether using the in-game shop or the Web Store and any relevant payment methods that apply to either (or even both). Any way they might do so might be the best way for them under certain circumstances, but given the above, there may be some good aspects to be considered and then applied for yet even other ways to do so.
