Besides Pokémon Go Tour of this year, there's something else that I haven't had the chance to cover, and that would be the "anniversary edition" of Pokémon Presents, which was shown on the day of the anniversary and previewed then and there as well. That's also because I wanted to get some more detail in, and the anniversary post simply can't handle that as a major digression. Now that it's also been a few days, I can stand to cover it as intended, with the details that are pertinent for all that was brought up and displayed.
The first and foremost announcement was for the first and foremost Pokémon foray on mobile, which is of course Pokémon Go. That announcement was effectively the preview for its new season - the Season of Alola - and the way to kick it off, though this does constitute its own event relative to the game and will be covered as such separately in a different manner. Nevertheless, it was indeed the signal that the Pokémon of the seventh generation was about to enter, which they did two days later.
Following the Pokémon Go preview, then came updates for the rest of the mobile (or other spinoff) Pokémon game lineup. Much of the information for these updates should have already been known by players of the respective games during the past anniversary week, including Sync Pairs for Masters EX and "deliveries" for Cafe Remix. Yet, there were also a few gems, as with Unite effectively teasing - in a brief clip - that Duraludon will be on its way as a later Pokémon to be added, changing things up all the while.
After info on the minor games, info on the major (Nintendo Switch) games came as well. Trainers in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will have the chance to earn Oak's Ticket and be able to encounter the Mythical Pokémon of Shaymin, while those in Legends: Arceus will have received the "Daybreak" update released just after the preview and can also earn a load of items with the use of a code up to the end of this month. These are significant, but so is the last item to be previewed.
Last but not least, there came a preview for something big, which is on its way. It's as red as Scarlet and as purple as Violet; these are the subtitles for the next generation of main series games, coming later this year. The game's region is based on Spain and it will be open-world. Its three starters (with the names of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, in usual type order) have been divulged as well. This is massive, and so are the reactions of most fans toward the preview, even to this very moment.
I gave the remark "newfound glory" for this edition of Pokémon Presents, and that is quite evident. There's glory to be found with the new season of Pokémon Go, the little and big updates to existing games, and the major next step for the main series of Pokémon games - and they're all necessarily new. After finally being able to put up the information from this edition, I feel the desire to find some glory myself, and it is certain that other Trainers can do the exact same thing, especially with the details above.
