Having been around for a long time, Pokémon has a lot of things going for it, from the past to the present. For those that came early for them, they are fortunate and can have them as such. For those who came later, they may be considered to be still fortunate if they can still get into the same Pokémon things as others do. As such, for this post, I'm taking the stance that there may be such a thing as being "never too late" in getting into Pokémon things, which might become something of comfort for any fan of Pokémon.
Any and all of the things from Pokémon past and present (like anime episodes or spinoff games) can be enjoyed by any current fan, certainly when the means are available. They are still a part of Pokémon and they cannot be disregarded as such, and any significant progressions in those things may just be reinvigorating for them, other fans, and even Pokémon in general. Whatever missed experience there could be might just make themselves up later on with a further development, and this supports the "never too late" stance.
For example, I got into Café Remix somewhat late - and well past the Café Mix era and its provisions - but now my progress is significant that I may be considered to have caught up to 75% of what the game offers had I started out exactly at the point the game was initially released and played from that point up to now. I can also play through the game reasonably without missing the things I hadn't obtained, whether by payment or regular event. This seems to be rather affirmative of that stance.
Incidentally, the stance of this post brings to mind a musical piece by Yanni, titled... "Never Too Late", exactly as the idea of the stance being taken in this post. The piece is an instrumental that suggests a carefree joy in going through life without regard of what may have been missed, and even includes a vocal interplay in part by the composer himself. It seems the piece is also a "never-too-late" moment for him just as much as it could represent the same moment involving other things like Pokémon.
Something as big as Pokémon always has the possibility of late or delayed experiences, which could be attested by many fans - even the author of this post. Yet if the stance of this post and the ideas presented in support of that stance are of any indication, that may not be a hindrance so much as it may be just an alternate "flavor" in experiencing things like Pokémon. So it seems that a fan may experience Pokémon as they like, even for things that were missed or came before their time; they're "never too late".
